TELL US ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY…

We felt Tasmania was far enough for an elopement but close enough to not worry about pandemic lockdowns. Tasmania was new for me but Chris had visited many times prior chasing swell.

His experience landed us at our venue, The Point, an architectural showpiece that overlooks a popular surf break. This provided a breathtaking backdrop that defined our connection to each other through the ocean.

We opted for a classic black and white colour palette – minimal, timeless yet contemporary.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE CARA GOWN?

While researching the web I stumbled upon Prea James and instantly fell in love with her elegant and modern designs.

I chose the Cara gown because its modern and relaxed style resonated with my own, as well as my vision for our elopement. I felt luxurious in the fine silk satin fabric which flowed over my frame with ease. Also, considering Tasmania’s wild and unpredictable weather, the front split allowed the gown to effortlessly take to the wind.

WHERE DID YOU PURCHASE YOUR PREA JAMES LOOK?

I purchased my gown from Bluebell Bridal in Melbourne.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR BRIDES TO BE?

Forget about everyone else’s expectations; focus on what makes the two of you happy. We chose to elope for many reasons. For us, it was essential the ceremony was stress-free, relaxed and fun. It allowed us to create a deeply personal and authentic experience that truly reflected our relationship.
