An elopement on the cliffs of Capri - Tash & Slade
Wedding date: June 23, 2025
Photographer: @hungryhearts_co
CUSTOM BRIDE | Tash wears:
Look one (first look + vow exchange): Penelope corset, Yolanda skirt
Look two (Marina Piccola + boat): Penelope corset, Yolanda skirt and Yolanda neck scarf
Look three (boat + dinner): Penelope corset, custom PJB mini skirt
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR PARTICULAR GOWN/LOOK?
I knew that I wanted a timeless design that suited the venue, my style and comfort was also important. PJB was always on my list of bridal studios that I knew I had to go to. Prior to my first appointment with PJB I had researched their various collections and features on real brides. I instantly fell in love with the Penelope corset. However, I wanted to create a unique look- I envisioned a flowy tulle skirt. When I explained my vision to Kira at my first appointment she immediately understood the assignment and allowed me try on the Penelope corset over the Yolanda dress (paired with the Yolanda neck scarf). The combination was perfect- it was effortlessly chic and had a romantic vintage charm which was in line with my vision for an Italian “la dolce vita” bridal look.
Given that our wedding day would be in summer, I knew that I wanted a second look. The second look needed to be cohesive, so I queried whether PJB could create a custom mini skirt to pair with the Penelope corset. PJB made it happen, and I was so happy with the outcome.
I will be forever grateful to PJB and the delightful Kira for making my bridal dreams come true!

Tell us about your special day
Slade and I eloped in Capri, Italy on 23 June 2025.
Our story is slightly unconventional… Slade and I planned our elopement before we were engaged. We knew that we wanted to elope in Europe the following summer and when we found out the amazing team at Hungry Hearts Co were available; we didn’t hesitate and booked them straight away. Shortly thereafter we fell in love with Hotel Caesar Augustus and knew that it would be the perfect location for our elopement.
Our special day was very relaxed- we enjoyed a slow start and got ready together at Hotel Caesar Augustus. Once my hair and makeup was complete, Slade went off for photos while I changed into my wedding gown. Despite eloping, we still wanted to have a “first look” and we chose to do this on the grounds of the hotel. Our first look was beyond perfect- the amount of emotion that you have seeing your life partner in that moment is indescribable; I still get butterflies thinking about it! This was followed by an intimate vow exchange on a private terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples. Our wonderful celebrant Loz crafted a heartfelt ceremony for us, which authentically captured our love story. We sipped on champagne and took more photos around the grounds of the hotel before taking a taxi to Marina Piccola.
The story of how we ended up at Marina Piccola felt like a full circle moment- for my 30th birthday Slade gifted me an artwork of this exact location. Years later we never in our wildest dreams could have predicted that we would be visiting this location, let alone celebrating our elopement here. The location will forever hold special meaning for us and we were so lucky to have the place almost all to ourselves.
We then went on a gozzo boat tour of the island. Those that know us, know that we are happiest when we are on the water. So we knew that we had to incorporate this as part of our day. It was just us, some super yachts and Faraglioni in the distance. Our skipper, Stefano raced across to the other side of the island. We made it just in time for golden hour. Many peronis were had, and the prosecco was flowing.
Our day ended with a very fun taxi ride (our driver played wedding tunes), followed by an intimate dinner to cap off our special day.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR BRIDES TO BE?
It’s very easy to succumb to societal pressures and follow trends because you feel that you need to “keep up with the Jones’”. At the end of the day, do what is right for you and your partner. In doing so, you will feel less pressure when the big day finally comes around and it will also feel authentically you.
