Where was your wedding venue and why did you choose there?
The Wool Mill - Down a quiet laneway in Brunswick East Melbourne, The Wool Mill is a stunning converted warehouse. Set over two levels it was spacious and was perfect in hosting both our ceremony and reception all in the one place.

Did you have a wedding theme/style?
We wanted to create an amazing party for our family and friends keeping with the industrial theme and vibe of the building and inner-city Melbourne where we spent large parts of our younger years at parties in warehouse spaces but keep it romantic with a lush deep burgundy and blush colour pallet, the Team at Nudo took care of the rest

How did you and your now Husband meet?
We met in our final year of high school and been together ever since

What is your proposal story?
The proposal happened on a trip to Hong Kong where I was for work, Eric joined me towards the end of the trip to spend some time with his grandmother who still lives there.

On what was our last day of the vacation we spent an entire day hiking up to Victoria Peak, after spending several hours absorbing breathtaking views of the city we headed back to collect our bags to make our way to the airport.

Whilst in a mad rush to collect everything and head out the door to make our flight. I found Eric down on one knee asking that all important question after all the years.

How did you hear about Prea James Bridal?
I had been looking at a few wedding gowns over the past month or so but after coming across the Cara Gown on Instagram which a friend had kindly pointed out to me, I knew that this was the one. I immediately checked out Prea James website and stockist in Sydney.

From where did you purchase your gown?
Hope x page boutique in Sydney, Alex and the team at Hope x page were amazing!

What do you love most about the gown?
I absolutely adore this dress and it felt so luxurious to wear all day. The fabric, the twist front detailing and the deep V back to fitted short sleeves. I love everything about this gown.

Are there any special details about your wedding that you would like to share?
Our wedding day was celebrated on our 17 year anniversary.

Finally, do you have any words of wisdom for couples planning their big day?
Don’t sweat over the little things, you can spend weeks, months and years planning everything to the minute detail but lose the bigger picture of why you are getting married in the first place, not everything goes exactly as you imagine. Just enjoy it, the day goes extremely fast, it is one of the most incredible days of your life.
