MADDY & JARED'S PALM BEACH WEDDING
Wedding Date: 3rd October 2020
Maddy wears the Tyler gown
What was your wedding venue and why did you choose there?
We had our wedding ceremony in Governor Phillip Park, Palm Beach, followed by reception at the most beautiful café in the park near the beach, Dunes. We knew we wanted to go somewhere coastal within driving distance of Sydney and we had shared some nice memories around that area together with Jared’s family so it seemed to be a great fit.
Did you have a wedding theme/style?
Our wedding theme was a little mixed around coastal. We had an outdoor beachside location, semi-formal vibes, capiz shell name tags and fresh local produce.
How did you and your now Husband meet?
Our story is not the most romantic! It involved a house party, a nightclub in Bali and a dinner date where I did a shot of vodka before to calm my nerves! I was 17 and Jared was 18 when we went out. 10 years later, we have tied the knot.
What is your proposal story?
We were relaxing at our special place, Sundays Beach Club in Bali at the end of last year. We went for a walk up the beach and the magic happened. I was not expecting it as Jared had recently torn his ACL and I didn’t think he would be able to drop a knee!
From where did you purchase your gown?
Hope x Page
How did you hear about Prea James Bridal?
We discovered Prea James Bridal through the Hope x Page Store. I found it on my first day and first shop looking. Seeing all of the bridal dresses that day was intimidating and they made a perfect recommendation to try on my top and skirt from Prea James Bridal.
What do you love most about the gown?
I love the look and feel of the material. It is so flattering and pretty. I always wanted something that was simple and silky and I liked that this one had just a bit more fun and detail, especially on the back.
Are there any special details about your wedding that you would like to share?
We included our dog, Toby, as we didn’t want him to miss out!
Were there any details that you made yourselves?
I had special trinkets on my bouquet. I had a handkerchief from my Grandma, pendant tied on from my Nanna, and two rings tied on by Jared’s grandmas. I also wore a sapphire ring owned by my best friend’s family that they kindly offered to let me wear.
My beautiful friend did my hair and another lovely friend did all the signage.
Finally, Do you have any words of wisdom for couples planning their big day?
I wanted to create a day that I would not have any regrets because I missed out on something. Make that wedding of your dreams! We never planned on postponing due to Corona and I am so glad we went ahead and had the best day with our friends and family.
