As we begin to emerge after another difficult year, the feeling of starting over again is washing over us. A new way of life as we knew it. It is important now more than ever to focus on the simple things in life that bring us joy and a sense of calm.
First Light is a thoughtful capsule collection of pieces that represent the true vision of a Prea James bride - understated elegance, fashion forward, and simplistic sophistication.
Introducing 5 dresses, and 5 interchangeable separates that can be worn with pieces from previous collections.

First Light takes inspiration from the sunrise walks that Prea loved to take during lockdown - something that bought a sense of calm and positivity in an otherwise chaotic time.
“The collection is the second collection I have designed and put together in lockdown and while it presents its challenges, I really tried to block out the noise and focus on the things that brought me joy.“
The Elise top is a structured bodice with long billowing sleeves in a stunning burnout organza. She is modern and romantic edition and can be worn with the Eden skirt (as pictured) or other skirts in First Light and the existing collections.
The Elise Blouse takes inspiration from two of our beloved styles, the Tyler Bodice and the Amelie Gown.
The Amelie Gown was further re-imagined for First Light, and we now see her in an off-the-shoulder style, as well as the Isobel Gown drawing inspiration from the popular silhouette. Both styles lean away from the classic minimalist aesthetic that James is known for, though still encompass a more modern and fashion forward bride.
The Vera gown is a new and fresh silhouette - a bias-cut, wrap style gown with gold D-ring closure and open back. Vera is made from a beautiful viscose satin from Italy that has a gentle slub throughout to create a subtle amount of texture.
In the Luciana and Aurelie Gowns, we see the signature Prea James Bridal minimal aesthetic and silk fabrications.
First Light also brings the versatility of separates, and the freedom to customise the pieces that our brides have known and loved . The Eden skirt can be ordered in matte crepe or satin and with either a 30cm train or a 50cm train. The Francesca skirt, an A-line bias-cut style, can also be ordered in matte or satin, as can the Paloma wrap top.
The First Light Collection is available now in the Prea James Flagship Boutique, and will be available at all stockists in from January 2022.
