What was your wedding venue and why did you choose there?
Both at Crooked River Winery in Gerringong. We chose this place for its beautiful scenery, rolling hills and vineyards.
Did you have a wedding theme/style?
We really didn’t have a particular theme, we are both extremely laid back. Our wedding was cocktail themed, we had lounge chairs and hay bales placed around for seating and a dance floor outside with fairy lights above. We decided to have the entire wedding outside and the ceremony near the vineyards. The backdrop was incredible.
How did you and your now Husband meet?
It’s a very long story but I went to high school with his sister (who I never knew even had a brother until I met him) Tom and I met on a night out in Wollongong.
What is your proposal story?
My husband proposed to me on Christmas day in NYC. He definitely surprised me!! He walked me into our room that was filled with rose petals and candles leading outside onto the terrace where he proposed, it was so special just the two of us. He then planned a beautiful dinner and limousine night tour around NYC.
How did you hear about Prea James Bridal?
I actually went straight to Prea, I came across her gowns on social media and emailed her that day, within a few hours she had responded and we set up a date to try dresses on. The process was so simple and Prea was always so friendly. Prea made me feel so comfortable when picking and trying on dresses.
All her gowns are so gorgeous so you can imagine how hard it was to pick just ONE.

What do you love most about the gown?
The gown I ended up picking was the Genevieve Gown. I loved everything about it, the way it fitted my body shape, the split at the front and the materials used.
Finally, Do you have any words of wisdom for couples planning their big day?
Just breath! Haha to be honest my biggest piece of advice is to take a moment to stop and take it all in, the day goes so fast. We had a small wedding with close friends and family who we absolutely adore, so it was important for us to just take time to appreciate the amazing moments.
